My take on J.R.R. Tolkien's "Ambarkanta". I'd seen a very diagramatic version of this online, but decided to do a more pictorial style. I didn't investigate too heavily what-goes-where so please don't get upset if somethings not quite in the right position. This is a composite of all three "ages".

I like this. :)
For years now, I have intended painting the map from 'The Lord of the Rings' as a 3D landscape, But I'd never have though of putting it inside a sphere.
Great picture.
One question: What is the little oblong, top left of the outer sphere?
